May 15, 2019 -- Some of Rexy Que's proudest moments at Wichita State involve the progress they made to help campus improve the experience of LGBTQ students. Now as they prepare to move on from WSU, Rexy is ready to continue taking on new challenges after they graduate.

May 15, 2019 -- A device for the visually impaired has won the 2019 Koch Innovation Challenge, an annual competition for Wichita State University students.

May 13, 2019 -- As an engineering major, Colton Russell found himself looking at many options of where to go to college. Wichita State University, he says, "just felt right."

May 13, 2019 -- After dropping out of high school and working her way back to a GED, Karen Abshire-Gordon wasn't sure she was college material. This month, she graduates with a bachelor's in psychology from Wichita State University.

May 7, 2019 -- Boosted Ideas Lab, a shot-art developer and confidence booster for developing basketball players, was the winner of the 2019 Shocker New Venture Competition at Wichita State University.

May 2, 2019 -- Art history student Dale Small served as the art director for Horizontes, which sought to connect two north Wichita populations.

May 2, 2019 -- Wichita State's Multicultural Greek Council held the 10th annual Shock the Yard Step Show, a fun and interactive event for the WSU and local community.

May 1, 2019 -- In January 2010, Wichita state student Opeyemi Ajaiyeoba met fellow student Ifey Ogunyomi at Brennan Hall 3, at the time a campus residence hall. The couple, both from Nigeria, have been dating since – until this spring, when Opeyemi popped the question at the same spot he first met her nine years ago.

April 30, 2019 -- Wichita State alumnus Chris Rempe graduated just seven years ago, but is already making an impact on WSU and local industry.

April 30, 2019 -- Wichita State unveiled a Multicultural Greek Council Quad on campus Friday, April 26. The purpose of the quad is to provide a visible space on campus for WSU's culturally based and National Pan-Hellenic Council Greek chapters.

April 26, 2019 -- The May Day Pop-Up Picnic will take place from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, north of the Rhatigan Student Center on the WSU campus.

April 22, 2019 -- Wichita State University will soon start the first Muslim Greek organization in the state of Kansas. Starting this summer, Mu Delta Alpha Sorority Inc., started in 2014 at the University of Dallas, will expand to WSU.

April 16, 2019 -- Ryan Kendall, a senior from Pelham, Alabama, is a computer science major who took the long route to Wichita State’s Selected Team. He didn’t make the team as a freshman and spent the past two seasons on the Developmental Team. Wichita State coach Gordon Vadakin estimates around 10 percent of the bowlers who don’t make the team in their early years continue to try out for a spot on the Selected Team.

April 15, 2019 -- A series of events honoring the life of late Wichita State President John Bardo will be held May 6-10 on campus. Dr. Bardo, the 13th president of WSU, died March 12 after a long illness.
